This rim features a triple hollow design. This means there are three channels in the cross-section that help to provide increased stability under hard impacts. Nickel plated brass eyelets are more flexible than stainless steel, and thus less prone to cracking. Plus plated brass is a self-lubricating metal, keeping your eyelets and nipples from seizing up, which builds a stronger wheel that will last longer as well. This rim also features a pinch resistant bead. This is Sun’s exclusive rounded, hollow tire bead clinch. It keeps tubes from flatting on hard impacts by increasing the rounded rim material that will contact the tube.
