Trek VW Rider Eatough Pursues Seven Straight Wins - Thursday 21st September, 2006.

In the world of off-road endurance racing, there simply is no counterpart to Trek VW rider Chris Eatough. For the last six years, Chris has been a model of consistency and perseverance as he’s pursued the lonely world of 24 hour solo racing. Through extreme heat, cold, rain and even tornado warnings, Chris has steadfastly pedaled around the clock logging more miles in one 24 hour span than most people log in over a month. His six consecutive world championship titles more than prove his mettle in what is undoubtedly the most difficult form of off-road competition. In the 24 hours from noon to noon on October 7-8, Chris will attempt to win his seventh consecutive world championship title in Conyers, Georgia (site of the 1996 Olympics).
Identical Trek Top Fuel 9.9
Chris will have two identically prepared 2007 Trek Top Fuel 9.9 bikes at his disposal, as well as a support crew that consists of a mechanic, team manager, and his wife Allison to prep his food. Lining up with Chris will be his Trek VW teammate Sue Haywood who is looking for her first 24 solo title, as well as Chris’ father Mike who will be racing on the Harley Davidson corporate team.
With seven consecutive Tour de France victories already to their credit, Trek Bicycles wishes Chris all the best in his attempt to join Lance Armstrong in the Lucky Seven club!
