Trek 2007 Bike Launch - Friday 15th September, 2006.
Eschewing the normal hotel show for a more informal and relaxed approach in a marquee, (a huge, industrial, portable hangar), at Trek Towers, the new season’s bikes have finally been launched to the Trek dealers of the UK.
Of particular interest, is the new Trek Madone 5.0. This is effectively the 2006 Madone 5.2 with a different wheelset but retailing at £300 less! And, more importantly, it’s good looking.
Other highlights are the Bontrager bike, a carbon TT frame painted completely white, with all the latest Bontrager disc and deep section wheels and carbon triathlon parts; the Trek Madone 6.9 SSL hanging on a set of scales and weighing in at 14.5lbs out of the box, (and with a Lifetime Warranty), the Trek Fuel EX 8, a scorcher of a deal at £1500. A lot of these bikes will be available at J E James Cycles now with others being in the UK before the end of October.
