The New 2007 Trek Top Fuel 8 Preview - Thursday 13th April, 2006.

Extending the successful Top Fuel Platform has been a goal for the Trek engineers for a while now and finally they have released photos of their efforts. Seen at Sea Otter last week was this Top Fuel 8.
Made of extensively formed aluminium, (yet to be confirmed but probably Trek’s proprietary ZR9000), it sports a number of changes from the 06 carbon models. Most notable of these is the increase in travel from 75mm to 90mm making it a more adaptable Trek bike for more differing terrain. The asymmetric chainstays lead up to another big change for this platform- sealed cartridge bearings. The increase in travel has meant a move away from the bushing system of previous high end Trek Fuels.
