"NATIONAL CHAMPION RUSSELL DOWNING will be flying the British colours on a Litespeed Vortex this season. His DFL team will ride a mixture of Vortexes and Sienas equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace, Easton and Real Design equipment. The big change for the 2006 Vortex is the move to a compact frame. The bikes come with Carbon Real forks that have been reinforced since Litespeed first released them. Downing's bike is pictured with Real's Supersphere wheels although the team will also use the aerodynamic Supersonic wheels with carbon fairings.
