The Kharma provides that very unique and rare combination so rarely seen in the world of high-end frames, namely, relatively low cost paired with superb quality and performance. The Kharma is the equivalent of finding a Ferrari for the price of a Mazda. The full carbon frame is, like its bigger brother the Ksano, neither fully monocoque nor fully lugged, but a little bit of both. How can that be? For the Kharma, Kuota constructs the main triangle minus the seat-tube from a monocoque molded one piece top-, head-, and down-tube, and then pairs this partial triangle to lugging at the bottom bracket and chain- and seat-stays. Subsequently, all the joints are wrapped in carbon layers. The result is a phonemenally stiff all carbon race bike with characteristics similar to the very best all aluminum race machines. The oversized headtube provides rigidity and steering precision, characteristics which are further enhanced by its full carbon fork.
