To achieve its desired level of performance, CORIMA has chosen to manufacture its products from pre-impregnated carbon sheets and fibre. The sheet and fibre composition that forms the structure of a wheel or frame is built up manually with as much care as if we were making the solar panel frames for a satellite.

Each pre-impregnated part has to be put in position, ensuring that the fibers are correctly orientated in a vital, determined order and with a strict eye on the quality procedure. Once these operations have been carried out by qualified, skilled, attentive operatives, the mould is closed and heated, leading to the polymerisation of the epoxy resin, which fixes the position of all the carbon fibers and contributes to the structure and appearance of the finished product. Corima products are not varnished after they come out of the mould as they do not want to damage their weight / performance ratio.

The 4 SPOKE wheel is the worldwide reference of monocoque carbon wheels. Created from the beginning to be a versatile wheel, it is perfect for track or road use. The profile of the rim and the shape of the spokes like a drop of water (leading edge and trailing edge) make it very aerodynamic. The junction between the spoke and the rim has been refined compared to models before 2003.

Its rigidity plus its design make it responsive giving superior ride qualities as well as aerodynamic. It is entirely made out of carbon in both tubular and clincher tire versions (CORIMA patent).

The 4 SPOKE wheels are fitted with annular bearings of which there are 2 in the front hub.
