The Sidekick frame is an integral part of the DMR family of Cro Mo frames. It is based onythe very popular Trailstar geometry, but a little lighter and smaller than the Trailstar It shares many of the great features and associated benefits of its "big brother", the trailstar, but more suited to slightly smaller rider or someone who wants lots of stand-over room. Its designed to run a short travel fork 90-110mm with nippy handling for racing.
Updated in 2005 the Sidekick got heat treated 4130 Cro Mo front triangle with a new larger diameter down tube with a 'box' gusset that gave a significant increase in strength and stiffness with a minimal weight increase.
All Mtb BB frames have the ISCG fitting, DMR now do a range of chain retention devices to fit ISCG mount.
