Trek Fuel EX 9 Full Suspension Mountain Bike 2008

Introducing R1i, this builds upon the R1 frame introduced last year. This bike benefits from a number of changes, not least of which are the new hydro formed frame which is now lighter and stiffer than berfore. ABP (Active Brake Pivot) stops Brake Jack (the suspension stiffening under braking) to less than any other trail bike on the Market.

The Full Floater design mounts the shock on the rear chainstays rather than the main frame this allows the leverage to be tuned in a much better way and so creates a plusher feel to the suspension as there are two leverage ratios acting upon the shock.

The EVO link is now a one piece unit that is both lighter and a lot stiffer than before, making this bike 35% stiffer than last year.
