Fly Bikes Brake 07 black • Starts out as T6061-6 forged alumnium (the strongest treatment available), then is machined on a 3D machine. Both forging and 3D machining cost a fortune but the final product is super stuff and the finish is perfect. • The arms are angled in the direction of the cable to increase the braking power and to make it smooth. • The reinforcements to prevent flex make the machining even more complicated but are worth it. • The cable bridge is also CNC machined so your cables don't bend (sorry this is not shown in the picture). • The spring are cut and the plates are as low as possible due to the smaller cone allen bolts. • The pads are Kool Stop. • All hardware, including the springs, are anodised in black or titanium finish. • Each brake takes 6 hours to make (according to Fly!) that's why there has been a delay in production (and an increase in cost...).
