Any initial scepticism about the oversized carbon Litespeed disappeared rapidly as the Pavia purred smoothly down the road with a cultured, civilised feel. Even on rough cart tracks it refuses to rattle bones or jar wrists, unless you deliberately stay seated and ride over potholes as if you were a sack of spuds. This is without doubt one of the more comfortable full-carbon bikes around. In fact, it’s so smooth you find yourself repeatedly checking tyre pressures aren’t too low every time you ride it, until you accept the slim wishbone and flattened main tubes actually are sucking up much of the rough stuff. The same easy poise extends into the handling. It swings in and out of corners nonchalantly, however tight or ‘just-after-the-rain’ greasy they were."
