OK...so we’ve taken the Unit and now have made it a 29” bike. Kind of like when the Moonies and the Hari Krishnas get together and produce offspring.

Racing bikes on the World Cup for just one year puts demands on equipment that most of us can’t muster up in a lifetime. Since our early beginnings, our Cross Country line has been defined (and later refined) by the top racers on the World Cup race circuit. They beat the hell out of things and we stay close by their side and take a lot of notes. The result has been a heritage of refinement that we’re very proud of, and will continue. Like all Kona bikes, we don’t go chasing design theories down rabbit holes. We simply use what works best, for the best racers in the world.
