Tacx i-magic/Fortius RLV Namur to Revin, France 07

We This ride starts about 1km to the south of Namur & follows the meandering Meuse river as it cuts through the Ardennes & eventually becomes the border between France & Belgium. The ride features mostly flat river bank roads which pass famous Gothic style towns like Dinant & huge Napoleonic fortifications called citadels which were built onto the flanking hills to defend the river & borders. After about 40km we reach the Town of Hastier & take a detour away from the river & up the flanking 200m high hills to arrive back down at the river in Givet. After this the route alternates between small hills & flat river until the finish at the French town of Revin.

The DV video footage used in this ride was filmed during the last week in September 2004. Filmed with a special mount that enables the camera to lean into the corners that gives life to the video & keeps that vital rider perspective so the grades look as steep as in real life.
