The Mountain bike Sock features the unique properties of new Wool Ultra – real wool, but more so…Revolutionary new yarn technology makes Wool Ultra up to 20% lighter than conventional wool. It’s superior wicking qualities result in 30% faster drying and also makes it more effective in combating odours. Padded comfort seams, and arch brace all help to provide a customised fit.
The socks are non prickle, non itch and have a minimal skin rub, dramatically reducing the incidence of blisters. The 1000 Mile Mountain Bike Sock keeps feet comfortable whether pedalling in your cleats or running with your bike – whatever the terrain or weather conditions.
1000 Mile:
The Company was established in 1989 following the creation of the original 1000 Mile sock.
The 1000 Mile unique double layer cotton/nylon sock was initially developed as a medical aid for sufferers from poor circulation and foot associated problems, especially among diabetics. As the benefits and reputation of the sock spread, athletes became interested in the socks as a means of preventing blistering, and controlling perspiration, during their training and competitive running programmes.
Over the past 10 years, the 1000 Mile sock has been introduced into the outdoor market, with astonishing success. Socks dedicated to the golf, cycling, running and cricket markets complete the range.
