The Diesel tyre is designed for the more extreme freeride bikes, which have become more popular in europe. The extreme freeride style has had a large following in the US and Canada for years, and now european's are taking more interest in this style with north-shore style course's appearing in the UK. The tread pattern is similar to the Gravity tyre but more aggresive. The lugs of the tread are taller and wider to give increased grip. Because of the increased width, there's a greater volume of air in the tyre which means lower pressures can be used. The Diesel is designed with a lightweight casing construction aimed at giving excellent uphill and downhill performance. It is not a downhill tyre, rather a wide volume, lightweight extreme freeride tyre for front and rear use. The 2.5" tread width will fit frames width 80mm clearance and gives riders the freedom to explore more offroad terrain than ever before.
