Here again Centaur is the beneficiary of design, technology, and materials originally created by Campagnolo for Record. Centaurs brakes are equipped with Records brake pads and the pad holders. The holders, which have orbital adjustability, accept a brake shoe that is longer and slightly curved as compared with conventional designs. Because of that it applies more brake surface area to the rim which, of course, makes for more powerful braking.Centaur brakes have the shiny anodized finishing that is the look of the Centaur groupset.
