Corima Aero Carbon Wheel Description
The AERO wheel is the most versatile in the CORIMA range, having the ability to be used for either flat or undulating roads. There are two versions available with an all-carbon rim: tubular and clincher (CORIMA patent). This light profiled rim is made with a "torsion box" outer jacket in preimpregnated carbon on structural foam construction.
This manufacturing process ensures high rigidity, aerodynamics and low inertia in rotation. Precise handling with less rolling resistance.
- The front wheel is built with 12 or 18 spokes for the tubular version and 18 spokes for the clincher version. 18 spokes in the front offer more lateral rigidity. This version is recommended for road racing.
- The rear wheel is built with 24 spokes. The rear wheel is compatible with Shimano 8/9/10 speed cassette or Campagnolo 9/10 speed cassette.
- The process used for crimping the profiled stainless spokes makes them easy to replace and ensures proper orientation.
