Colnago started back in the day, in 1954 in a tiny workshop on via Cavour in the small town of Cambiago, just east of the great Italian City of Milan. That’s where the great Ernesto Colnago began his career as a bicycle builder. Since then, his bicycles have been ridden by more than one hundred professional cycling teams, with well over 2,000 cyclists racing on Colnago bicycles to more than 6,000 professional wins and counting. Born in 1932, Colnago began his career as an apprentice bicycle mechanic at twelve years old and hasn’t looked back since! Cycling champions such as Eddy Merckx, Giuseppe Sarroni, Gianni Bugno, Tony Rominger, Joop Zoetmelk, Moreno Argentin and Roger DeVlaeminck just to name a few who have raced and won World, Olympic, and every other important discipline on Colnago bicycles over the years.

Air represents the evolution from the previous Arte 2.0 model. It represents an excellent blend between the shock-absorbing comfort of carbon with the responsive rigidity of aluminium, offering perfect performance for long days in the saddle. The brand new hydroformed 6000 series alloy front triangle has polygonal cross section top tube and a hexagonal cross section down tube, to ensure confident handling and rigidity without sacrificing the smooth ride.
